As the School Children’s Palace in Shanghai, Changqing School worked with North Bund Sub-district to carry out the related activities in summer holiday and to offer the embroidery class in the holiday campus on July 5.
In the embroidery classroom, the teachers explained the related knowledge to more than 20 persons from North Bund Sub-district, and taught the children with the two needle methods of running stitch and back stitch, to which some boys were attractive. With the help of teachers and student volunteers, the children started the stitches and gradually completed their first embroidery product.
Embroidery is the characteristic school-based curriculum of Changqing School, which has been offered for 9 years. It is aimed to enable the young people to learn more about the splendor of Chinese civilization and to inherit the Chinese context through studying the traditional Chinese cultural heritage.
