Hongkou Traffic Police Organizes Activity for Police Open Day

On February 28, Hongkou Traffic Policemen sponsored an activity for the police open day to strengthen the traffic safety awareness of delivery men of take-away food. A batch of new delivery men were invited to learn traffic safety knowledge in the traffic police detachment.

More than 30 delivery men visited all the office rooms, accident handling counters, the drivers’ business hall, the training range in the Hongkou traffic police detachment. The policemen publicized the traffic safety knowledge, introduced tips for handling relevant business and played safety-related alert video clips for them. The delivery men were reminded of no fluke mind when traffic accidents occur. In the monitoring room, the policemen introduced the working procedure in the monitoring room of the traffic police detachment and the general situation of the monitoring on roads in Hongkou.

The diversified items in the activity not only strengthened the understanding of the delivery men on traffic safety knowledge, but also made them feel the care of the policemen. After the activity ends, some delivery man said that he would give priority to safety in his work.

It was learnt that the traffic police departments in Shanghai were gradually promote electronically identified licenses for non-motor vehicles in all the districts. Using the electronically identified licenses will contribute to positioning vehicles against theft and tracking and monitoring drivers for lowering the occurrence of traffic violations.
