On November 1, the “My China Dream” calligraphy exhibition jointly organized by the Shanghai Authorities Calligraphers Association and the Publicity Department of the CPC Hongkou Committee opened in the memorial hall of the 4th Congress of the CPC. Chao Yukui, Vice Chairman of the Shanghai Calligraphers Association and Chairman of the Shanghai Authorities Calligraphers Association, and Liu Ke, Standing Committee Member and Director of the Publicity Department of the District Party Chief attended the opening ceremony.
The Exhibits included various calligraphy scripts such as regular, cursive, semi-cursive, clerical and seal. The calligraphies are either unadorned solemn and magnificent or free and flowing. All works exhibited are selected from the 2nd calligraphy exhibition held by the Shanghai Authorities Calligraphy Association, which include 13 award-winning writings from Hongkou.
The exhibition is not only an important part of the 1st Shanghai Calligraphy Festival, but also is a great promotion to the “China Dream”, which inspires people to struggle for the realization of the “China Dream”. The exhibition will last for 10 days.
