A collaborative meeting was held between Hongkou District and Ruijin Hospital on February 6, marking a significant step towards strengthening their partnership and joint development efforts.
Li Qian, the Party Secretary of Hongkou District, and Qu Jieming, the Party Committee Secretary of Ruijin Hospital delivered speeches. Lu Ming, the Director of Hongkou, chaired the session.
Li Qian highlighted Hongkou's recent strides in economic and healthcare development, as well as the establishment of the North Bund of Shanghai as a new urban benchmark.
He expressed a desire to leverage Ruijin Hospital's expertise and professional strength in various areas including high-end talent services, tiered diagnosis and treatment and medical emergency systems.
He envisioned deep cooperation to elevate Hongkou's medical service capabilities and urban functionality.
He also urged for enhanced collaboration in the advancement of biopharmaceutical technologies, aiming for mutual benefits and strategic cooperation agreement.
Qu Jieming noted Ruijin Hospital's long-standing bond with the district. He introduced the hospital's focus on innovative development through industry-academia-research integration.
Qu called for broader, deeper cooperation in diversified medical services, expert resource sharing, and advancing the life and health industry, aiming to co-create a high-level medical and technological resource pool.
The collaboration is expected to support Ruijin Hospital's ambition to become a leading hospital in Asia and contribute to the rapid development of the North Bund of Shanghai as a new urban exemplar, the district government said.
