Hongkou District unveiled its top 10 brands in 2023 on February 1, including the most influential and most innovative brands in the district. The event also marked the establishment of the Hongkou Brand Alliance.
The selected brands encompass manufacturing, services, culture, and shopping categories. Brands such as Liushen and Dewu were honored as the "2023 Hongkou Top Ten Brands."
The Zhenziwei Seafood Hotpot, Universal Medical Imaging, among others, were recognized as the "2023 Hongkou Top 10 Influential Brands."
The Sinar Mas Plaza and Feisuo Tech were awarded the "2023 Hongkou Top 10 Innovative Brands" among others.
Xie Jinghui, Director of the Brand Development Research Center of the Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences, said the ranking allows brands in deeply understanding public demands, helps companies accurately position themselves, and continuously enhances their visibility and influence.
The diverse types of listed brands demonstrate the quality, technology, credibility, culture, and continually growing development vitality carried by the Hongkou brand.
The "2023 Hongkou Brand Strength Index Research Report" shows that over the past five years, with the continuous optimization of the business and brand development environment in Hongkou, the "Hongkou Brand" has been greatly enhanced.
Hongkou aims to leverage the North Bund as a benchmark to seize the opportunity of high-quality development in the Yangtze River Delta integration, expand the radiation effect of Hongkou brand nationwide, encourage and support brands to go global, and drive the internationalization of Hongkou brands, the district government said.
Shanghai Jahwa, with its brand Liushen, was selected as a famous Hongkou brand. The company representative said Jahwa will focus more on brand building in the future, aiming not only to expand nationwide but also internationally.
The brand selection activity provides a platform for Hongkou brand companies to learn, exchange, and cooperate with each other, hoping to collaborate with more brand companies to enhance the Hongkou corporate brand, the representative said.
AMASS, an integrated logistics service provider, was recognized among the Hongkou top 10 brands. Zhang Weisong, Vice President of AMASS Global Network Group, stated that a company's brand reflects its reputation.
AMASS will continue to maintain its corporate reputation, cherish the honor of being among the Hongkou top 10 brands, and contribute to enhancing the Hongkou brand, Zhang said.
During the event, the Hongkou Brand Alliance was officially established. The alliance aims to gather resources from the government, enterprises, media, and academia to carry out brand promotion, activities, consultancy, and research.
It strives to create a "publicity platform," "exchange platform," "incubation platform," and "enhancement platform" for Hongkou brands.
The event also marked the official launch of "Hongkou Select." In collaboration with 100 popular merchants in Hongkou, the district’s integrated media center introduced the "Hongkou Select" project, selecting vibrant commercial districts, cultural spaces, exquisite shops, culinary gems, and trendy tribes.
It provides a discount platform for citizens, offering 100 stores during the Spring Festival holiay through Hongkou's WeChat, Weibo, Douyin, and App.
It also offers 100 time-limited coupon services. The first round of selected brands includes BELLAGIO Shanghai, Ruihong Tiandi the Hall of the Sun and Bom Bom Space.
Zhang Zhao'an, former Vice President of the Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences, delivered a keynote speech on "Focusing on Brand Cultivation, Assisting Regional Development."
He said brand cultivation is crucial for promoting industrial structure upgrading, enhancing corporate competitiveness, driving economic growth, and strengthening national soft power.
The establishment of the Hongkou Brand Alliance will better build a cross-border integration platform, strengthen cooperation among brands, and help shape a regional brand highland, boosting brand as a new growth driver for consumption, Zhang Zhao’ai said.
