Hongkou District convened a roundtable discussion with leaders from 10 local law firms on February 2.
It aims to explore how to leverage the professional strengths of the law firms to serve the development of the North Bund and enhance the core competitiveness of the district.
Li Qian, the Party Secretary of the district, attended the meeting. Lu Ming, the Director of the district, chaired the meeting. District leaders Xuan Yizhou, Huang Enwei, and Chen Shuai were present.
Representatives from Shanghai's legal community shared their insights on legal construction, commercial mediation, investment attraction, and the development of the "North Bund International Legal Services Port" in Hongkou.
Li Qian expressed gratitude to the legal industry practitioners for their contributions to the economic and social development of Hongkou.
He noted that the development of legal services is essential for legal construction, high-quality development, and the construction of a city for the people.
Li Qian emphasized the need to focus on high-quality development, fully leveraging the professional, resource, and networking advantages of law firms, gathering global legal service institutions to help optimize the business environment, and build a legal service cluster highland.
Li Qian stated that Hongkou would further deepen communication and cooperation mechanisms with local law firms, fully utilizing the functional role of lawyers, and work together to contribute wisdom and strength to Shanghai's construction of an international legal services center.
