In a significant move bolstering government-enterprise collaboration, Shanghai's Hongkou District and the INESA (Instruments and Electronics Shanghai Associates) have officially entered a strategic partnership.
The agreement, aimed at advancing urban renewal and technological innovation, was signed in a ceremony attended by key government and corporate leaders on December 21.
Li Qian, the Party Secretary of Hongkou, and Mao Chen, Chairman and President of INESA, were present at the event, underscoring the alliance's high-level commitment.
The ceremony was presided over by Ln Ming, deputy Party Secretary and director of the Hongkou District with Chen Jing, deputy Party Secretary of INESA, also in attendance.
The partnership is set to focus on integrating Hongkou's urban development strategies with INESA's technological expertise. The initiative will prioritize urban renewal, digital transformation, and industrial upgrading, leveraging the district's distinctive industrial advantages.
Li Qian emphasized the need to align with national directives, particularly those outlined by President Xi Jinping, to establish a new benchmark in government-enterprise cooperation. The agreement aims to foster a smart city model through resource sharing and digital governance enhancement, with a focus on the North Bund digital twin city project.
Mao Chen expressed gratitude for the ongoing support from the Hongkou District, pledging INESA's commitment to the city's urban and digital transformation. The company plans to contribute significantly to Hongkou's development as a pivotal area in Shanghai's modernization efforts.
This collaboration marks a step forward in Shanghai's ambition to become a leading socialist modern international metropolis, leveraging the combined strengths of government vision and corporate innovation, the Hongkou District government said.
