The opening of the 6th China International Import and Export (CIIE) is approaching. The preparatory work for the Hongkou Branch of the Shanghai Trading Group is ready. We will actively implement the tasks of the Shanghai Trading Group with a spirit of excellence, and implement the principle of "getting better and better" with a first-class environment and services.
In the past five years, the spillover effect of the CIIE has been continuously strengthened in Hongkou. Looking back at the previous five CIIE sessions, the Hongkou branch has always maintained an attitude of striving for excellence, and created a first-class environment and services to implement the concept of "doing better". The Hongkou branch of the Shanghai trading group at the first CIIE in 2018 completed a procurement amount of US$ 64.5 million. In the fifth CIIE in 2022, this amount reached US$ 211.6 million, an increase of 228% compared to the first one. The first five procurement transactions achieved an average annual growth of 26.8%.
The number of exhibitors and purchasers in the Hongkou branch of the Shanghai Trade Group at the first CIIE in 2018 was 5 and 4, respectively. The data of the 5th CIIE has expanded to 17 and 11 respectively, expanding the exhibition area from food and consumer goods to pharmaceutical and health care exhibition areas. Among the 14 exhibition halls, 9 have the shadow of Hongkou exhibitors.
Hongkou's business card continues to shine, and previous CIIE sessions have been an important window for Hongkou to showcase and connect with the world. The relevant work of the Hongkou branch of the Shanghai trading group has been featured by multiple media outlets and live-streamed through new media, with a total exposure to tens of millions of people. In particular, on November 7 last year, the centralized signing of the Hongkou delegation was also concerned by the CCTV News of CCTV 1. The spillover effect of entering the CIIE continues to deepen. Assisting in building the "6 + 365" never-ending CIIE, Hongkou has carried out brand promotion activities for the "CIIE Good Things" brand. In recent years, the "Latin America Pavilion" of Shangbin Life Plaza, the "Indonesia Pavilion" of Sinar Mas Plaza, and the "CIIE Good Things Life Pavilion" of Capitaland Hongkou Commercial Center have gradually formed one characteristic of one commerce circle for the CIIE. Besides, Hongkou will irregularly carry out "offline + online", "mobile + normal", and "on-site + off-site" promotion activities for the CIIE. Hongkou first created the Mobile National Pavilions of countries along the Belt and Road in 2019, the German Quality Life Pavilion and CIIE Products Entering Commerce Circles in 2020, CIIE Products Entering Government Agencies in 2021, and the online live broadcast of CIIE Products for the World Cup in 2022. This year, Hongkou will launch a new mode of CIIE Products’ experience by combining the "mobile" tasting activities with the “regular" CIIE Products Life Pavilion
At the 4th and 5th CIIE sessions, the highlighted debuts of the Hongkou North Bund Pavilion received widespread attention from domestic and foreign media. The North Bund Pavilion will continue to make its appearance at the 6th CIIE this year.
