TCM Health Culture Event Held

In order to further promote health services of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) and the TCM cultural development, the District Health Committee carries out an event themed on the characteristics of TCM health culture, to further promote the health culture of TCM upon interaction.

The Jiaxing Road Sub-district Community Health Service Center held a TCM themed parent-child activity on July 28.

The teacher first introduces the contribution of TCM to controlling COVID-19, explains the role of various Chinese medicines, and then teaches the children to know some Chinese medicines and correctly use the steelyard to weigh Chinese medicines. Finally, guided by the teacher, the parents and children joyfully make all kinds of Chinese medicine sachets for COVID-19 control.

Since implementing the three-year action plan of strengthening and reinforcing TCM, Hongkou has optimized the formerly-established TCM departments in the community health service center, and improved the TCM services and its service ability. Furthermore, the event will be held once a month at the community health service centers of Jiaxing Road Sub-district, Quyang Road Sub-district, Ouyang Road Sub-district and Jiangwan Town Sub-district from late July.
