Lately, the “1st Music Valley Peninsula Bay Makers Market” was held in the Peninsula Bay Creative Park at the riverside of Shajing Gang. University students from 9 colleges of 6 universities in Shanghai gathered here with their artistic works to serve as a vendor and seek a soul mate, which has gathered great popularity.
Yang, a postgraduate from the College of Fine Arts of Shanghai University, brought along the print works that have integrated the classical and modern skills. Vivid portraits and scenes appear through few lines of sketch. And many people bought these print works to support this young maker. Most “makers” said that they have come here not only for making money but also for seeking a soul make in art.
At present, Hongkou is actively creating a Musical Valley Art Maker Street with the Peninsula Bay as its center. The current markers market activity also invited newly established enterprises related to arts. The organizer said that it will invite more teachers and students of art colleges and more makers in the future and make it a new field for innovation and originality.
