On the 10th World Stroke Day on October 29, Hongkou District Center for Disease Control and Prevention joined hands with the Branch of Shanghai First People’s Hospital for promotions to arouse people’s attention to “the stroke risk of the middle-aged”.
Reports say, after years of efforts, the Community Stroke Prevention and Treatment Network has achieved full coverage in Hongkou and laid down a solid foundation for conducting district-wide screening as to high risk groups of stroke, health education and first aid training for stroke. Meanwhile, as the only institution for treating cerebrovascular diseases in Hongkou, the Branch of Shanghai First People’s Hospital has spared a “round-the-clock green passage for the first aid for stroke”, intended to provide treatment for stroke sufferers in a timely manner.
