On October 27, the “Bloody Trail ? Unyielding Loyal Soul – Photo Exhibition of Dianxi Battle in China-Burma-India Theatre during Chinese Anti-Japanese War”, which is jointly organized by Baoshan Municipal Administration of Culture, Radio, Film & TV of Yunnan Province and Hongkou District Bureau of Culture, was opened at the Memorial Site of the 4th National Congress of the Communist Party of China. Liu Ke, Standing Member of the CPC Hongkou District Committee and Director of the Publicity Department, attended the opening ceremony.
The Exhibition has six parts – “Road of Blood”, “Misery of A Nation”, “Staunchness of Soldiers”, “Strengthen of People”, “Friendship of Allies”, and “Eternity of Worship”, which respectively introduce the background of building the Yunnan-Burma Highway, the tragic situation of the people after the invasion in west Yunnan by the Japanese Army, the process of the Expeditionary Forces fighting the offensive war, the western Yunnan people’s heroic undertaking of marching forward despite of hardship, the friendship of international allies in fighting against Japanese Army, and the commemoration and through on Dianxi Battle after the war. The Exhibition will last till November 27.
To jointly commemorate the 70th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese Anti-Japanese War and the World Anti-Fascist War and strengthen the cultural exchange between Shanghai and Yunnan, Hongkou District Bureau of Culture and the Memorial Site of the 4th National Congress of the CPC have sent the “Not Forgetting the Comers – Hongkou Photo Exhibition of Commemorating the 70th Anniversary of the Victory of the Chinese Anti-Japanese War and the World Anti-Fascist War Hongkou to Baoshan. The two sides hope to encourage more later generations to remember the history and cherish the memory of our revolutionary martyrs by organizing exhibitions and exchange activities.
