The 5th Shanghai Sci-tech Sports Carnival Rounded off

The closing ceremony of the 5th Shanghai Sci-tech Sports Carnival of the 2019 Shanghai Amateur Games was held at Shanghai Sci-tech Sports Management Center on October 27, and presented the model airplane flying overhead, model ship sailing the lake, simulated flight in which the visitors can act as an aircraft commander, etc., which attracted more than 5,000 people to enjoy the sci-tech sports feast.

The closing ceremony had 6 themes, such as ocean, land, aviation, information, intelligence and evening shows, retained the world champion lecture, racing competition, children's balance bike, international competition of navigation model and other popular programs held at the former Carnival, and added new ones, including the machine-based robot class and the comprehensive radio experience, so as to provide a platform for the public to understand the aviation model, the navigation model, the radio communication and direction finding, the vehicle model and other sci-tech sports. Moreover, it added evening shows, and cooperated with sci-tech sports education exhibition hall, open-air parent-child drive-in cinema, wishing boat production and so on to create comprehensive night experiencing with the features of land, aviation and shipping, exploring a new mode of the Carnival.

The open-air parent-child drive-in cinema integrated motor sports with radio sports. The citizens can adjust to the designated frequency for the radio in their cars, and enjoy the visual impact of the super-large screen while having their own private space. Displayed at the Science and Technology Sports Education Exhibition Hall, the Haiyan B-005 Light Aircraft enabled children to act as an aircraft commander through the aviation flight simulator; under the cooperation of their parents, the children can learn to make a wishing boat.

In addition, a family marathon was held upon reusing the site resources at the closing ceremony. With the project-used site of the Sci-tech Sports Management Center and the competition route linked up, the marathon enabled the participants to know the sci-tech sports in the 2-km parent-child running, so as to take the matched sci-tech sports according to their interests afterwards.
