CYL Youths Donate Blood without Payment

On May 4, Hongkou District Rainbow Blood Donation House embraced a batch of youths, who explained the May 4 Spirit with their blood.

Shortly after 09:00, 12 CYL members from the Tilanqiao Community Health Service Center reviewed the oath for joining the CYL and donated their blood in the Rainbow Blood Donation House near Luxun Park. Wang Yingjie, a TCM physician, told that it was the 6th time that he donated blood without payment. Blood donation strengthened his awareness of rescue responsibility and mission, which was very important to a physician.

Several youth students were donating blood on the spot. A student surnamed Wang from Jiao Tong University, was born in 1995 to 1999. He said, the generation born after 1990 began to undertake more social responsibilities. The youths fulfill social responsibilities through donating blood.

With the summer approaching, blood for clinical use in Shanghai will be highly used. We call on that more citizens would donate blood to bring about hopes for patients.
