June 14 is the 12the World Blood Donor Day. Recently, hundreds of Indian friends living or working in Shanghai participated in the third Indian friends’ blood donation campaign, which is the best interpretation of the spirit that love is no borders.
The Indian friends’ blood donation campaign is an international charity project jointly sponsored by the Indian Association, Shanghai Blood Center, Shanghai Hongkou District Blood Management Office and other companies, and it’s also the largest number of expatriates from the same country donating blood in Shanghai. Since its first launch in 2013, the activity has been held for three years, attracting more than 200 Indian friends. Although they have different color and speak different languages with Chinese people, the blood and love is the same.
It is learned that the theme of World Blood Donor Day this year is “Thank You for Saving My Life”. For the coming World Blood Donor Day, Shanghai Blood Center and many other companies and social organizations have launched a series of blood donation activities, which can not only collect blood for the clinical patients, but also make blood donation, the simple public charity, become more popular.
