In celebration of the seventh "Chinese Doctor's Day," an event themed "Upholding Humanistic Spirit, Embodying Compassion" was held at the 1933 Old Millfun Exhibition Center in Hongkou District on August 19.
The event aimed to showcase the dedication of medical professionals and foster a strong community respect for healthcare workers.
During the event, several distinguished doctors from Hongkou's medical institutions were honored for their contributions.
These included Zhu Jingwei from Shanghai Integrated Traditional and Western Medicine Hospital, Tao Yingna and Qiu Guangting from Shanghai Fourth People's Hospital, Xu Ming from Hongkou Jiangwan Hospital, Wang Fei from the Hongkou District Center for Disease Control and Prevention, and others from various community health service centers.

He emphasized the importance of both technical skill and a compassionate heart in practicing medicine, encouraging younger doctors to persevere in mastering their craft while maintaining empathy for their patients.
The event also highlighted the launch of the "Hongkou District New Era Civilized Practice Health Guardian Alliance."
The initiative, led by the District Civilization Office and the District Health Commission, aims to provide more diversified and enriched health services to the public.
The alliance will implement projects such as "City Therapy," "City Live," and "City Us," offering music therapy in hospital spaces, health education through live streams, and convenient medical consultations in various community settings.
The celebration also featured cultural performances, including a poetry recitation titled "Guardians of Life" and the song "Wan Jiang," showcasing the vibrant and positive spirit of Hongkou's healthcare professionals.
