The Hongkou District Committee held its quarterly work meeting on July 5 to implement the spirit of the municipal committee's quarterly work meeting and to outline key tasks for the third quarter.
District Party Secretary Li Qian presided over the meeting, emphasizing the need to assess achievements and identify shortcomings, improve work styles, and ensure tangible and effective results. This effort aims to lay a solid foundation for achieving the annual goals.

At the meeting, representatives from Jiaxing Road Subdistrict, Quyang Road Subdistrict, North Bund Subdistrict, Guangzhong Road Subdistrict, District Civil Affairs Bureau, District Finance Bureau, District Construction and Management Committee, District Housing Management Bureau, and Hongfang Group shared their work plans for the third quarter. Li Qian provided feedback on their presentations and set forth requirements for the next phase of work.
Li Qian pointed out the importance of staying focused on goals, enhancing execution consistency, and unwaveringly pursuing excellence in municipal evaluations. Immediate action is required for assigned tasks, expedited implementation for approved projects, and proactive management of cross-functional matters.

Lu Ming highlighted the need to fully support economic growth and the implementation of key indicators. Efforts should focus on high-quality urban development, driving momentum in finance, shipping, trade, and specialized services, and fostering new productive forces. Emphasis should be placed on transforming scientific achievements, technological services, and innovation headquarters. Efficient land use and spatial planning are necessary, along with addressing oversight and audit rectification to change development approaches.
He also stressed the importance of enhancing the effectiveness of public services, accelerating housing renovations, and addressing key issues in elderly care, employment, healthcare, and education. Ensuring urban safety and stability through continuous hazard inspection and mitigation, maintaining social stability, managing flood control, and preparing for peak summer demands are also critical tasks.
