The Shanghai Modern Service Industry Federation visited Hongkou and held the Hongkou District key project monthly signing event at the North Bund Raffles City on June 25.
Sun Jianping, President of the federation, and Li Qian, Party Secretary of Hongkou, attended the event and delivered speeches.
During the event, a batch of key projects signed agreements to settle in Hongkou. Most of these projects are in green and low-carbon industries and the digital economy, bringing new vitality and injecting fresh momentum into the district's efforts to cultivate emerging industries and build a highland for future industries.
Sun Jianping noted that since the signing of the strategic cooperation agreement between the Hongkou District Government and the Shanghai Modern Service Industry Federation, both parties have deepened cooperation in attracting investment and promoting the high-end shipping service industry and modern service industry.
The cooperation aims to create the "Shanghai North Bund, Urban New Benchmark." The visit by federation-related institutions and enterprise representatives to Hongkou, focusing on the district's green and low-carbon and digital economy development, demonstrates the willingness and swift action of both parties, said Sun.
"Service" is the core value and ongoing mission of the federation, which will continue to play its role as a "bridge and link" between government and enterprises, helping build Hongkou's modern service industry system, he added.
Li Qian acknowledged the twelve-year partnership between the federation and Hongkou, which has established a new model of government-society cooperation.
He urged both parties to focus on high-quality development, aiming for clear goals, thoughtful planning, vibrant activities, significant projects, and bright highlights, to continually deepen the new round of strategic cooperation.
By leveraging the federation's extensive industry resources and strong professional advantages, he hoped to enhance Hongkou's ability to gather and allocate global resources, pushing the modern industrial system towards higher-end and higher value-added segments.
Hongkou will strive to create a first-class business environment characterized by market orientation, rule of law, and international standards, acting as a development partner for enterprises and embarking on a new journey together with outstanding companies, Li said.
Lu Ming, the Director of Hongkou, highlighted that the federation has long been a trusted strategic partner for Hongkou, with a track record of successful cooperation.
He expressed hope that the broad platform built by the federation would more effectively integrate resources and serve enterprises, accelerating the creation of the "Shanghai North Bund, Urban New Benchmark" as a critical showcase for China's modernization.
Service industries are the backbone of Shanghai's modern industrial system and the mainstay of Hongkou's industrial economy. As a central urban district, Hongkou is committed to integrating into the city's new spatial framework, driving regional economic transformation and enhancement through the innovative development of modern service industries.
It aims to cultivate a range of specialized service industries, such as green and low-carbon and digital economy sectors, to create new growth poles and sources of momentum for regional functional enhancement and economic development.
Looking ahead, Hongkou will deepen city-district cooperation and government-society collaboration with the federation, focusing on innovative development in high-end services, emerging services, and professional services to contribute to Shanghai's sustained enhancement of service industry capabilities.
