The signing ceremony for the strategic cooperation between the Hongkou District People's Government and Shanghai Rural Commercial Bank was held on June 18.
Hongkou District Director Lu Ming and Gu Jianzhong, deputy Party secretary and president of Shanghai Rural Commercial Bank, signed the agreement on behalf of their respective parties.
Li Qian, the Party secretary of Hongkou, expressed gratitude to the bank for its long-term contributions to the high-quality development of Hongkou's economy and society.
He emphasized the importance of aligning with national development strategies and Shanghai’s "Five Centers" initiative, promoting complementary advantages and resource integration to set a new benchmark for government-bank cooperation.
He highlighted the need to enhance regional competitiveness, focusing on the development of North Bund, aiming to create a distinctive modern industrial system in Hongkou and support regional functional transformation and industrial upgrading.
Furthermore, Li stressed the importance of financial services in improving the quality of life for the people, focusing on projects related to elderly care and other public welfare initiatives.
Xu Li, the Party secretary and president of the bank, acknowledged Hongkou's strategic location and strong growth momentum, particularly noting North Bund's emerging status as a significant showcase of Chinese modernization.
Xu expressed that the signing of the cooperation framework agreement marks a new starting point for leveraging the bank's strengths and coordinating key resources in policy, industry, and other essential areas.
He pledged to deepen cooperation with Hongkou District in public services, social governance, investment promotion, and other sectors, aiming for mutual benefits and supporting the district's high-quality development.
