On November 21, the 18th "Blue Huangpu River" Academic Annual Conference, guided by the Shanghai Association for Science and Technology and co-hosted by the Hongkou District Association for Science and Technology, the Huangpu District Association for Science and Technology, the Yangpu District Association for Science and Technology, and the Xuhui District Association for Science and Technology, was held at the Shanghai Innovation and Creativity Design Research Institute on the North Bund of Hongkou. Attending the event were Chu Junhao, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) and Honorary Chairman of the Hongkou District Association for Science and Technology, Wang Jianyu, Academician of the CAS and Chairman of the Hongkou District Association for Science and Technology, Chen Xin, Vice Chairman of the Shanghai Association for Science and Technology, and Chen Shuai, Vice District Governor.
As an important platform for technology and academy exchange, the "Blue Huangpu River" Academic Annual Conference has been held for 18 sessions so far. The annual meeting is held by Hongkou, Huangpu, Yangpu, and Xuhui in turn. This year, the rotating host was Hongkou District. The theme of the annual meeting was "New Digital Intelligence, New Economy, and New Development", which aimed to explore the important significance of digital economy development in urban transformation, empower the transformation and upgrading of traditional industries, accelerate the cultivation of new technologies, new formats, and new models, and promote the in-depth integration of digital technology and the real economy.
In the keynote speech, Academician Wang Jianyu shared the theme of "Space Information Technology and Commercial Aerospace". Chen Zhengwei, Executive Vice President of Yidian Smart City Design and Research Institute and Chief Architect of Yunsai Zhilian, shared his practice and thoughts on urban digital infrastructure construction.
In recent years, Hongkou has made significant achievements in the field of digital economy. Thanks to the grand event, Hongkou will gather the wisdom of experts, scholars, and entrepreneurs to explore new applications of digital transformation in urban development, stimulate new vitality in the construction of Hongkou’s technological innovation system, and provide practical and feasible suggestions and plans for the high-quality development of Hongkou.
At the roundtable meeting, the officials of the Shanghai Industrial Internet Association, the Shanghai Innovation and Creativity Design Research Institute, Shanghai Inspur Data Service Co., Ltd., Shanghai Sixiang Yueshi Technology Co., Ltd., and Digital Communication Group focused on the development plan of Shanghai's digital economy, responded to the high-quality development of the North Bund, echoed to the theme of "building a new industrial system integrating data and reality and expanding new space for high-quality economic development", started from four common topics, namely "strengthening reality with data: a combination of industry digitalization and digitalized industrialization", "taking data as a road: new digital infrastructure makes the city more livable with warmth", "gathering talents with data: cultivating Hongkou’s feature in the talent cultivation of digital economy", and "walking towards data: anchoring the digital economy track and seizing opportunities and seeking cooperation", discuss and promote the construction of the digital economy and explore a new approach of expanding the new space for economic development.
Comprehensively promoting urban digital transformation is a strategic measure taken by Shanghai to implement the "Digitalized China" strategy of the Party Central Committee and the State Council. Under the guidance of the municipal association for science and technology, the four districts association for science and technology will gradually build the "Blue Huangpu River" Academic Annual Conference into a high-level, comprehensive, and forward-looking academic platform, share research results, discuss innovative ideas, and co-explore paths to solve major technological problems.
