Recently, the Wonderful Wonders Art Center (WWAC) was officially unveiled in the east area of the North Bund Jinmao Fashion Life Center. The opening exhibition "Bon Voyage Claude Monet" immersive light and shadow exhibition simultaneously opened. Hosted by the WWAC, authorized by the renowned Belgian creative team Dirty Monitor to jointly create digital content, co-hosted by J · LIFE on the North Bund, and organized by Shanghai Shenghao Information Technology Co., Ltd., the exhibition will last to June 10.
“There is a garden in Monet's Studio, and we have restored it in a realistic way". said He Tingting, Curator Manager of Kunji Cultural Media Development (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. The light and shadow exhibition is presented in three parts. The static area starts from the wall works and connects art works with timelines. Through the introduction and analysis of Monet's works, the audience can understand Monet's life and classic paintings in advance, improving the experience of virtual reality areas and immersive spaces.
It is reported that the equipment and technical support in this area come from BOE, equipped with a lossless Gamma display patent, which maximizes the digital reproduction of Monet's works and restores the texture of Monet's original works.
The virtual reality area is equipped with over 20 PICO4VR all-in-one machines. Here, viewers can wear VR glasses and enter Monet's art world from a new perspective, experiencing a tense audio-visual journey. Starting from Monet's artist studio, people can shuttle through his classic paintings. The Monet Garden, Impression Sunrise and The Manneporte familiar to the audience emerge one by one, as if people can touch their own impressionism gardens with hands.
Immersive space is the main area of this exhibition. It takes 40 minutes to watch the "bon Voyage Claude Monet" immersive digital art exhibition presented here. In the form of Monet's monologue, the audience can enter the artist's dreamy art world from the first person perspective. The constantly changing light and shadow on the 360 degree large screen, even on the ground below, can be seen as images, sometimes waves, sometimes Monet's handwriting. The visual effect is accompanied by specially crafted music and sound effects, presenting the audience with a sense of immersive experience.
Ms. Chen enjoys watching exhibitions, especially famous artists' art exhibitions. She always comes to exhibitions and takes many photos. However, she tells that the exhibition was very different. “In other exhibitions, I am a visitor. This exhibition gives me the feeling of being Monet, with a strong sense of immersion. The sound, light, electricity, and sound are combined to create a beautiful and stunning effect.”
The WWAC North Bund Wonder Theatre will also be unveiled this summer. The WWAC, as a curatorial cultural consumption and entertainment complex under Kunji Cultural, will use immersive art as the foundation and digital technology to create flowing light and shadow feasts in the future. By introducing, designing, producing, and operating global phenomenon-level and museum-level IPs, they will explore the direction of "immersive + night economy", integrates cutting-edge experiences in immersive exhibitions, theater performances, brand activities, and other formats. Their aim is to create an art complex with huge popularity and explore the innovative development path of cultural, commercial, and tourism empowerment.
