The Art Museum in Park Unveiled

On August 23, the opening ceremony of Plum Blossom Cottage themed with "Reappearance and Return" and the relocation and completion ceremony of Mr. Zhu Qizhan's statue were held in Zhu Qizhan Art Museum. Chen Xiaojie, Deputy Governor of the Hongkou District, and Zheng Xinyao, Chairman of Shanghai Artists Association attended the event and unveiled the statue. Ms. Chen Ruijun, Mr. Zhu Qizhan's wife, witnessed the event.

Recently, Zhu Qizhan Art Museum cooperated with Luxun Park to renovate the green space at the entrance, which "rebuilt" a plum grove for Mr. Zhu. The bronze statue of Mr. Zhu Qizhan in the lawn outside the museum was moved to the plum trees at the entrance of the art museum, and the most famous "Plum Blossom Cottage" studio opened a new round of artistic innovation and exploration. The statue of Mr. Zhu in plum blossom, wearing glasses and holding a brush with a smile, welcomes every art lover who comes here.

Mr. Zhu Qizhan, who experienced the three historical periods of the late Qing Dynasty, the Republic of China and the New China, has always regarded the character of plum blossom, which is not afraid of coldness and stubborn, as his spiritual symbol in his long artistic career. He has a special love for plum blossoms. He not only painted and grew plum blossoms, but also named his studio "Plum Blossom Cottage". In order to reproduce the lifelong patriotic feelings of Zhu Qizhan, the Art Museum has specially planned the "Reappearance and Return" Plum Blossom Cottage special exhibition. The exhibition takes Zhu Qizhan's studio, "Plum Blossom Cottage", as the narrative clue and displays the artistic works created by Zhu Qizhan and his friends around "plum blossoms" from the 1930s to the early 21st century according to the time sequence. Looking at the statue of Mr. Zhu, his wife Mrs. Chen Ruijun recalled the details of the Art Museum before its construction.

It is reported that as the exhibition hall in the park, Zhu Qizhan Art Museum further opens its doors, extends "Park +", further strengthens the concept of "inheriting historical context, innovating modern classics, and cultivating new artistic talents", holds art exhibitions, promotes art education, and explores the inheritance and innovation of Chinese new ink painting. In the future, Zhu Qizhan Art Museum will invite more artists to the Plum Blossom Cottage to launch a series of art activities and public education projects here. Through the reappearance of the studio and the opening of the public space, people can inherit Mr. Zhu Qizhan's continuous innovative artistic spirit, so that the studio once again presents the significance of creation and cultural exchanges while writing and artistic collections.
