In recent days, the housing expropriation bases in Block 185, Block 212, Block 234 and Block 247 in Hongkou has been as hot as the weather. Since the three blocks came into effect with high proportions, jubilant residents have begun to prepare for moving.
Catching the "Last Bus" of House Renovation
On July 18, Sun Cuiping, a resident of Block 185, began to pack their luggage. The couple has lived in the 13.9-square-meter dwelling for most of their lives. Even a small patio has built into three rooms, with seven people living at most once.
Sun Cuiping sighed: "The walls of the house are moldy. So, it's really old. I'm 70 years old now, and I'm not in good health. Although I'm worried about being far away from the downtown, I'm still very happy to get a new house. It is hard to live in the old house, and our nation has helped us solve the problem."
Her husband Chen Yongchang said, "The attic above the patio is used as a bedroom, and the lower part is used for bathing and washing machines. There are refrigerators and computers next to it. Everyone in the family lives together. This time we booked two houses in Songjiang District."
It is reported that Block 185 in Hongkou is located in North Sichuan Road Sub-district, involving a total of 954 licenses and 1095 households. On June 7, Hongkou pressed the acceleration key to resume the old areas’ reconstruction and held a hearing on Block 185 and other blocks. On June 10, the Expropriation Decision and Expropriation Compensation Plan of Block 185 was publicized, and the signing was launched on June 21. In less than ten days, the signing rate reached 97.05% with the high proportion. The residents took the "last bus" of the old areas’ reconstruction below the second-class lane in Hongkou District.
Hu Junqiang, deputy general manager of Shanghai Hongkou No. 1 Housing Collection Service Office Co., Ltd., said, "Since July 15, 110 residents have moved. Considering the reasons of the recent pandemic, we also have put forward requirements to the moving company. Drivers and staff must have nucleic acid negative certificates within 24 hours, and they need to be well connected with the residents and the neighborhood committee of the relocation place."
Usher in Peak of Moving
Recently, residents of Block 212 in Hongkou District also began to move away from their old houses. On the morning of July 18, resident Han Suying began to pack. The 70-year-old woman has lived in her husband's ancestral 50-square-meter old house for more than 40 years. Now, her family of three generations and a total of five people live here. Although the old house is small and old, Aunt Han has deep feelings for it. On the last day of the old house, Han Suying cleaned the house and watered the green plants in the patio for the last time.
Han Suying said, "I've been married here for more than 40 years and I'm about to leave. To be honest, I'm very reluctant to leave. Although it's a little difficult to live here, it has left the mark of the lives of my generation. So, when I leave, I must take some photos as a souvenir."
Saying goodbye to old house means that a new life is coming. Therefore, Aunt Han actively cooperated in all aspects of the collection work. On July 15, as soon as the headquarters for house renovation began to organize the relocation, she immediately signed up and made an appointment with the staff early.
"Because the staff of the headquarters for old areas’ reconstruction are very hard and the country considers for us, we need to cooperate more. Therefore, I am the first to sign up, and this time I am the first to sign up for the move." Aunt Han said.
It is learnt that Block 212 in Hongkou benefited 398 residents, and with the cooperation of residents, the old areas’ reconstruction project took effect in advance with a high signing rate of 99.66%. In recent days, there has been a peak movement of residents here. In addition, the headquarters for house renovation will give a certain amount of incentives to residents who complete the relocation before the specified date.
Diao Haifeng, the project manager of Shanghai Hongkou No. 2 Housing Collection Service Office Co., Ltd., said, "The official move starts on July 15, and the residents who move out of their houses before August 17 have an additional subsidy of 5,000 yuan. So, the move can be completed in the first ten days of August."
Next, Hongkou will adhere to the principle of people first and people's livelihood first, continue to deepen the municipality-district cooperation mode, speed up the completion of land delivery, and spare no effort to promote sporadic old areas’ reconstruction and old houses’ repair.
