Increasing Safety Knowledge, Improving Risk Avoidance Skills

In order to improve the effect of students' safety education and to cultivate their safety awareness and behavior habits, a few days ago, the 2020 Students' Public Safety Knowledge and Skills Experience Activity of Hongkou District, Shanghai was held in Shiyan Middle School of Hongkou Education Institute, sponsored by the Youth Protection Department of The Municipal Education Committee, the District Education Bureau, the Oriental Land Public Safety Education Department, and undertaken by the Hongkou Experimental Education Alliance and the Shiyan Middle School of Hongkou Education Institute.

There are five categories of experience and display activities, namely, fire safety, traffic safety, primary first aid, civil air defense and daily safety. More than 450 students from grade four and grade seven participated in the experience.

It is reported that Shiyan Middle School of Hongkou Education Institute, as a demonstration school of public safety in Shanghai, has attached great importance to the public safety education of students since its establishment. It has successively opened a series of courses, such as the first course of fire control, water safety, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, psychological safety and life education, so as to continuously improve students' self-awareness of danger and their ability to escape and rescue themselves.
