"Panda Man" Donates Blood

It is less than a week before the opening of the 3rd China International Import Expo (CIIE). According to the municipal work requirements for emergency reserve of special blood types during the CIIE, the Hongkou District Blood Management Office actively responded and organized practical exercises.

On that day, the Rainbow Blood Donation House on North Sichuan Road was very busy. Four voluntary blood donors of RhD negative type donated their blood after completing the relevant procedures such as filling in the form and physical examination, and completed the emergency blood donation training, with a total amount of 1,000ml of blood.

Yuan Lei, a blood donor of RhD Negative AB blood, has participated in the emergency blood preparation support task for 3 consecutive times since the 1st CIIE. He said that as a former air force soldier, he always restricted himself as a soldier. As he has been a veteran, he hopes to make more contributions to Shanghai.

"I am not only a Communist Party member, but also a new Shanghainese. It is a very meaningful thing for me to make contributions to the security work of the CIIE." Similarly, Liu Jiemin from SAIC Jieneng Automobile Technology Co., Ltd. is also a panda man. In fact, he enrolled for emergency blood preparation as early as the last CIIE. Unfortunately, he failed because his blood type did not meet the requirements.

It is reported that the district has established a contact list of 10 voluntary blood donors with special blood types, involving contact information, health status and the latest blood donation record. The proportion of each blood type is reasonably set. It is ensured that they can be used at the CIIE.
