The District Quality Month Unveiled

In September, parents focus on whether the quality of school uniform is safe and reliable. Since September 8, the district market supervision bureau has carried out inspections on 10 primary and secondary schools or vocational schools including Lu Xun Junior Middle School and Hongxing Primary School, paying attention to the quality of school uniforms.

Recently, the reporter followed market regulators to Shanghai Nanhu Vocational and Technical School. It was seen that the market supervision personnel had a detailed understanding of the purchase channels, product names, specifications and models, product implementation standards and the implementation of the "double inspections" acceptance system, and took samples for testing. It is learnt that the items of the school uniform sampling inspection include formaldehyde, carcinogenic aromatic amine dyes and other toxic and harmful substances, as well as some conventional indicators such as fiber content, color fastness against dryness, wetness and rubbing, color fastness against perspiration and PH value.

In order to ensure the accuracy of the test results, the testing agency will take two sets of school uniforms from each school at random as samples, which will be taken back for detailed testing after being sealed. On the same day, the district market supervision bureau also launched the "Quality Month" publicity activities in the school.

It is reported that the theme of this year's quality month is "Implementing the Development Concept and Promoting the High-Quality Development". In the "Quality Month", the district market supervision bureau will organize an array of activities relate to the quality publicity, the enterprise’s quality open day and the citizens’ quality experience, in a bid to create a good atmosphere in which everyone attaches importance to quality.
