The North Bund Development Office’s Chief Office Unveiled

The North Bund Development Office held an inauguration ceremony of the Chief Office and the chiefs on July 31, in which Zhou Rong, Deputy District Governor, unveiled the Chief Office and issued the appointment certificates to the three chiefs.
The Chief Office is an important advisory department of the North Bund Development Office for production and management, planning and design, project construction, investment operations and functional layouts. After its establishment, it will help carry out scientific development and scientific decision-making for the development and construction of the North Bund, and improve the development quality and level of the North Bund.
The three chiefs are chief architect Zhang Junjie, chief consultant Fang Chao, and chief planner Sha Yongjie. With professional theoretical knowledge and rich practical experience, they are important high-end think tanks for the development and construction of the North Bund in the future.
It is reported that the three chiefs will base themselves on the overall situation of the development of the North Bund, give play to their own advantages, and inject a strong impetus into the transformation and development of Hongkou and the development and construction of the North Bund.
Among them, the chief architect Zhang Junjie will give full play to the overall control of the construction project, provide professional advice and technical support to ensure that the buildings conform to the overall concept of urban design in terms of shape, volume, color and space environment, and will control the design scheme of super-high-rise buildings and important construction projects.
The chief consultant Fang Chao will use his own advantages in project management, industry experience, resource information and other aspects to help the North Bund in urban form design, commercial construction, and supporting functional layout.
The chief planner, Sha Yongjie, will be responsible for the design of general control, implement the requirements for additional plans, design requirements, green building standards, underground space, two-story corridor and traffic optimization for land transfer from the perspective of regional overall upgrading, make an overall plan for implementing the above requirements, and coordinate the relation between historical features and new construction.
