Volunteers Safeguard Hongkou
The CYL District Committee released the information about volunteer recruitment on the public account of "Hongkou Youth Micro-life" on February 9. In response, the district's youth formed a volunteer team in 36 hours! In the past five weeks, the CYL District Committee has recruited 354 volunteers and participated in volunteer service for 889 times in total, serving for more than 3,556 hours. The volunteers co-work to safeguard Shanghai indeed like a story.
The Warmest Volunteers
The volunteers of Triangle Food Co., Ltd., Yin Yaling, Zhu Mengmeng and Qian Fan, who dressed in blue youth commando costumes, drove to Putuo to visit a 70-year-old Ms. Yang with gifts including fruit boxes and pickled product boxes at 09:00 on March 11.
As the mother of a head nurse of Shanghai TCM-Integrated Hospital who aided Wuhan, Ms. Yang looked after her granddaughter at home, and lived on the F6 of Laoxin Village without an elevator. The volunteers worried about her, took the initiative to help her, and chatted with her about her life.
According to Yin Yaling, Director of the Office of Triangle Food Co., Ltd., the CPC District Committee of Hongkou Commerce Group decided to conduct a weekly door-to-door distribution of basic non-staple food to 27 families in the district who support the front line of aiding Wuhan and Jinshan Public Health Center from March onwards.
The Longest Service Time
The post-80s volunteer named Lu Min worked for 104 hours in total after offering volunteer services since February 11, and hoped to use their own strength to help more people as a youth!
As a volunteer on duty, Lu and her co-workers were helping the property management office to carry out voluntary duty at the gate of two residential buildings at No. 380, Yixian Road, Jiangwan Town Sub-district. Besides, her main task is to register information, take temperature and issue pass.
COVID-19 is gradually controlled, but we need to be more clear-headed. According to Lu, the policy of solid safeguard, strict control and no loopholes should be conscientiously implemented during the volunteer duty!
