This name is from the karma of a temple. A place with a Buddhist temple always attracts the Buddhists. The Buddhists, who came here to workship Budda with joss sticks and candles on the first day and the 15th day of every lunar month, attracted the peddlers selling joss sticks and candles. On a bridge with no name shuttled the village girls carrying baskets of joss sticks and candles for sell. Many years later, that place changed a lot , but the bridge and the village girls were still in the memory of the folks. Hence, they named it Tilan Bridge (carrying baskets bridge).
