Kids Participate in Educational and Entertaining Winter Vacation Activities in Community
Sub-districts in Hongkou District organized various activities for teenagers, such as folk customs activities, safety education, journey of science exploration and public service activities, to ensure kids have a happy and meaningful winter vacation.
Da’er Neighborhood Committee and Changzhi Neighborhood Committee in North Bund Sub-district organized pupils to clear garbage in residential communities. Pupils, carrying tongs, brooms and duster cloths, cleared garbage in various places and fitness sites in the community, and expressed willingness to pay attention to trifle things in routine life, take actions to facilitate Hongkou to become a national civilized district and create cleaner, more comfortable living environment for the community.
The “community innovation house” in Guangzhong Road Sub-district received some “little inventors” in winter vacation. Teachers in the “community innovation house” taught kids how to make remote-control toy cars, so as to arouse kid’s interests in technological innovation. Kids also visited a folk customs exhibition in Guangzhong Community Culture Center. Collections on the exhibition, such as traditional New Year pictures and ancient coins, helped kids learn traditional folk culture.
Kids in Ouyang Road Sub-district took part in DIY activities, such as making clay figurines and drawing paintings on porcelain plates. Kids and parents love to attend DIY activities.
