World Champions Instruct Young Fencers at School

Recently, the “Jiguang Fencing Instruction” activity of 2017 Shanghai "Outstanding Athletes Entering Schools" series of activities was held at the fencing hall of Jiguang Junior High School.

Invited to conduct interactions and exchanges with the young fencers from Jiguang Junior High School and Hongkou District No. 2 Central Primary School at the school were Qian Zhenhua, head of Shanghai fencing team and China's first world champion of modern pentathlon, Zhong Weiping, a world champion of women's epee, Zhang Chengjie, gold medalist of men's epee and Liu Xingyu, winner of team champion of men’s saber at the Tianjin National Games, and the elite athletes of Shanghai fencing team. In “training with champions”, “let’s fight” and other parts of the activity, the athletes of the fencing team instructed the students to play the coordination games and met the challenges launched by the young fencers. The wonderful performance of the athletes and young fencers resulted in cheers and applauses from the spectators on the scene.
