Semifinal of Chinese Opera Singing Contest kicked off

From August 18 to 19, Hongkou District Semifinal of Chinese Opera Singing Contest was staged in the district’s Worker’s Cultural Center, as part of 2015 Shanghai Citizen Arts Festival.

Including three sessions respectively for Shanghai opera, other folk art forms and Peking opera, the semifinal, co-sponsored by Hongkou District Cultural Affairs Bureau and Tilanqiao Sub-district, involved the participation of 45 groups qualified after preliminary selections in different communities.
