The signing ceremony for institutional partners and standards achievement launch event of the Shanghai Hongkou Green Gold Traceability Center, themed “SOE Synergy · Setting Benchmarks via Traceability”, was held recently at the North CentralRing International Innovation Center. Li Qian, Secretary of the Hongkou District Party Committee, and Sun Jianping, President of the Shanghai Federation of Modern Service Industries, attended the function.
The Shanghai Hongkou Green Gold Traceability Center covers a wide spectrum of operations, including formulating industrial standards for greengold traceability, providing technical consultancy on carbon peaking and carbon neutrality, building sustainable supply chains for precious metals, developing cultural and creative products, and delivering lowcarbonthemed training and exchange services. Aligned with global green and lowcarbon development trends, the center seeks transparency, standardization and sustainability across the gold industrial supply chain. It marks a landmark initiative and practical attempt by Hongkou District, and Shanghai at large, to integrate green finance, highend service industries and the real economy.
In his address, Li Qian noted that since its inauguration on January 28 this year, the Shanghai Hongkou Green Gold Traceability Center has yielded notable progress and forged a development framework featuring centrallocal coordination and integrated collaboration among enterprises, universities, research institutes and endusers. He stressed the need to leverage standards as a guiding force: to establish quantifiable, traceable, certifiable and replicable industry benchmarks, develop demonstration standards with global influence, consolidate upstreamdownstream resources, and accelerate the formation of a fullfledged industrial ecosystem spanning standardsetting, traceability certification and market application. Digital empowerment should be further amplified. By leveraging underlying digital technologies, the gold traceability digital platform will be upgraded to consolidate the foundations for greener and smarter industry growth. Prioritized standards and digital innovation shall foster newquality productive forces and diversify local greenlowcarbon industrial formats. Joint efforts shall advance industrial ecosystem building, advance deep integration between the greengold sector, digital economy, culturalcreative industries and commercial consumption, and accelerate the delivery of AIempowered projects. All innovationdriven entities will receive robust support to sustain a toptier business environment.
Sun Jianping congratulated the center on its achievements and extended best wishes for Hongkou District’s future development. He remarked that anchored in crosssector integration, innovationdriven growth and internationaloriented development, the Shanghai Federation of Modern Service Industries consistently fuels highquality growth for Shanghai’s service sector. He expressed hopes that the center would pursue threedimensional innovation covering technology, market and institutional systems, mobilize multistakeholder participation, tap into indigenous technological strengths, and refine a closedloop traceable wholeindustrialchain system. It is expected to evolve into a key practical platform that boosts Hongkou’s industrial upgrading and elevates performance across Shanghai’s service industries.
Partnership agreements were sealed between the Shanghai Hongkou Green Gold Traceability Center and four entities including Shanghai Xinhua Telecommunication Network Information Co., Ltd. The parties will deepen pragmatic cooperation in business licensing, product promotion, standardssystem development and culturaltourism market expansion.
