North Bund has launched its first international talent housing project, introducing a dual apartment complex aimed at supporting high-level professionals from China and abroad.
The Ascott North Bund serviced residences and Adoor Talent Apartment were officially inaugurated on April 15, accompanied by the release of Hongkou District’s latest talent subsidy policy for domestic and international talent.
Hongkou Party Secretary Li Qian, along with district officials and corporate representatives, attended the launch ceremony.
The dual project, located in the heart of North Bund, is designed to meet the diverse housing needs of various talent groups, offering a combination of high-end living and social integration.
The Ascott North Bund targets the premium market with 120 fully equipped apartments ranging from 83 to 168 square meters.
Adoor Talent Apartment, meanwhile, offer 211 units of various sizes, all included in the district’s rental housing support system and eligible for rent deduction via public housing funds.
Adoor emphasizes a community-oriented lifestyle, blending privacy with shared amenities to foster connection among young professionals.
The apartment complex connects directly to Metro Line 12 and is just minutes from the North Bund waterfront. On-site facilities include a gym, co-working lounge, entertainment area, and self-service laundry room.
The district aims to create a “warm” living environment through its exclusive talent housing services, integrating residential, career, and cultural offerings into a cohesive international talent community.
Future programming will include cultural salons, career workshops, and social events organized by the district’s talent bureau and labor unions.
The initiative forms part of Hongkou’s ongoing efforts to attract, house, and retain global talent. The district’s latest policy updates its pioneering housing support model by expanding coverage to include outstanding interns and recognized high-level professionals, offering up to three months of free rent and up to 18 months of subsidies for specialized talent.
District officials see the project as a cornerstone of North Bund’s strategy to create a world-class business environment and a vibrant, diverse talent ecosystem.
“This is not just about providing a place to live — it’s about creating a lifestyle and community where international professionals can thrive,” said a representative from the North Bund Group.
As part of its long-term vision, North Bund will continue enhancing its international talent service framework, aiming to offer a more open, inclusive, and livable environment that attracts and retains top global talent.
