The 2nd North Bund Human Resources Development Forum was held at the Hongkou District Employment Promotion Center on November 22, as part of a series of human resources service development activities in the district.
The event gathered industry leaders, government representatives, and human resources professionals to explore new opportunities for growth and innovation in the sector.
The forum began with speeches from key officials from the Shanghai Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau (HRSS).
They provided an in-depth analysis of the direction of human resources service innovation and policy orientation, looking at broader industrial development trends in the city.
Hongkou’s HRSS leaders also reviewed the district’s major initiatives in the human resources services sector over recent years, sharing insights on future collaboration opportunities.
During the keynote session, representatives from four leading human resources service companies presented real-world case studies and shared valuable industry experiences, offering a deep dive into the evolving dynamics of the sector.
The event also featured a specialized job fair, where more than 20 companies from various industries participated.
The recruitment event included a physical job matching zone, a gig services section, and a live-streamed job fair, creating a platform for effective talent recruitment and providing job seekers with direct access to employers.
Hongkou District is actively advancing its goal of becoming the “Shanghai North Bund, a new urban benchmark,” and is increasingly shaping the demand for modern human resources strategies.
The district is leveraging policy advantages and gathering high-quality resources to drive the development of a competitive human resources services industry.
This year, Hongkou released the Measures to Promote High-Quality Development of the Human Resources Service Industry in Hongkou District, outlining 14 key support initiatives.
These measures aim to foster market entities, enhance development capabilities, and promote industry clustering to strengthen the sector’s growth.
As part of this commitment, the district also distributed Hongkou Human Resources Service Development Packages to attending companies.
The packages included data on labor supply and demand, city and district-level policy support, and a map outlining the region’s development, offering practical tools to help businesses grow and succeed.
Looking ahead, Hongkou will use the forum as an opportunity to further accelerate the development of the human resources services industry, fostering innovation, strengthening government-enterprise communication, and exploring new opportunities for the sector’s growth.
It will support the district’s goal of becoming a key driver of Shanghai’s economic transformation and contribute to building the "Shanghai North Bund" as a modern urban model.
