Li Qian, the Secretary of the Hongkou District Party Committee, visited key enterprises on September 13. He engaged in discussions with leaders from AIMON (Shanghai) Animation Design Co., and meleap China, to gain insights into their operations and gather feedback on their needs.
AIMON is a high-tech enterprise specializing in comprehensive services for licensed animation, focusing on the entire process from IP creation to end-user engagement.
The company emphasizes IP incubation, creative exchange, and cultural dissemination, creating value through licensed merchandise. AIMON has established over 100 retail outlets across multiple cities, fostering brand growth.
Li Qian highlighted the importance of embracing new trends and cultural developments, encouraging companies to seize opportunities for mutual growth.
He emphasized the goal of developing a renowned "second dimension" district that leverages the unique characteristics of Hongkou and the professional strengths of its enterprises.
Li called for enhanced collaboration among departments to implement supportive policies, build platforms, and provide services that enable businesses to expand and lead in new consumption trends. He stressed the need for deep integration of culture, sports, tourism, and business, which would inject fresh vitality into regional development.
Meleap China, a subsidiary of the Japanese AR technology leader meleap, established its Chinese headquarters in Hongkou last year.
The company has opened stores and pop-up locations in areas like North Bund, organized competitive events, and developed online streaming platforms to promote HADO, a tech-based sport that combines exercise, competition, entertainment, and social interaction.
Li Qian encouraged the company to clarify its positioning and objectives, aligning with contemporary consumption trends to maintain its leadership status in the industry.
He urged the development of more public sports venues within the Hongkou community to enrich local sports activities accessible within a 15-minute radius.
Additionally, he suggested integrating traditional Chinese culture into their content development and increasing marketing efforts. He proposed organizing events like the HADO World Cup and the World Intelligent Sports Carnival to create an attractive destination for athletes and enthusiasts.
Hongkou District is committed to supporting the growth of these enterprises to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes, Li said.
