The 19th Shanghai Wine Festival and the Hongkou series of the "Double Five Shopping Festival" commenced at Moon Bay, Ruihong Tiandi on May 31.
In his speech, Lu Ming, the director of Hongkou, highlighted the district's focus on developing the North Bund into an international consumption cluster and national tourist resort area, enhancing the Sichuan Road N. business district, and creating diverse and innovative consumption scenes centered around specialty commerce, experience economy, and nighttime economy.
He emphasized the district's commitment to leveraging the festival to strengthen the wine festival brand and establish Hongkou as a hub for wine-related activities, including wine aggregation, brand gathering, consumption trends, and cultural dissemination.
This year's "Double Five Shopping Festival" in Hongkou will feature over 30 trendy events across six major sections, integrating business, tourism, culture, and sports.
Representatives from key business districts such as North Bund, Sichuan Road N., and Ruihong Tiandi presented their themed promotional activities.
The festival's opening night included a wine market area, a music stage, and a stylish camping area, offering various activities such as wine molecule photo ops, a wine lab, lucky draws, mixology shows, and dance performances.
Exhibitors included renowned domestic and international wineries and wine merchants such as Moutai, Wuliangye and Tsingtao Brewery, showcasing over 1,000 fine wines, including liquor, wine, beer, and spirits.
Each exhibitor created uniquely styled booths and interactive games for guests to experience their brand culture up close.
As one of the key brands of the "Double Five Shopping Festival," this year's Wine Festival continues the "World of Wine" theme, blending rich wine culture with vibrant trends to offer a "Travel the World with Wine" experience in early summer Shanghai. The festival also provides a platform for "meetings through wine" for winemakers and traders.
Running for two months, the festival will feature various events at Ruihong Tiandi, including the Dragon Boat Wine Market, Havana Night, Wine Buddy 7.0, and the Olive Natural Wine Carnival, with weekend activities such as band performances, dance shows, games, and pet community events. A "Moon Bay Micro Tipsy Guide" will be released, and a month-long promotional event will coincide with the UEFA European Championship season, offering consumers entertainment and social gatherings.
During the festival, popular landmarks like Sichuan Road N., the INET, the Sinar Mas Plaza and the Raffles City will host diverse, cross-border themed activities for citizens to enjoy immersive experiences and stimulate robust consumer activity.
