To celebrate the 105th anniversary of Romanian National Unity Day, an event was held on the evening of November 30 at JINMAO North Bund, Shanghai. The event was organized by the Romanian Consulate General in Shanghai and the Romanian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Kong Fuan, Director of the Shanghai Municipal Government Foreign Affairs Office, Wang Junwei, Inspector of the Shanghai CPPCC Office, and Zheng Hong, Standing Committee Member and Head of the United Front Work Department of Hongkou District, attended the event.
Ovidiu Simina, Acting Consul General of the Romanian Consulate General in Shanghai, delivered a speech. He emphasized the significance of December 1, Romania's National Day, and celebrated the 74th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Romania and China. Simina expressed hopes for closer diplomatic relations and increased Romanian business presence in China, deepening bilateral relations in various fields. We will also introduce more excellent Romanian enterprises and products to China, deepen relationships in various fields with China, and achieve mutual benefit.
In 2021, the Romanian Chamber of Commerce and Industry's Shanghai representative office was established in Hongkou District. The office has maintained good cooperation with Hongkou, particularly in economic and trade areas. It has recommended and organized Romanian businesses to participate in the China International Import Expo and the Shanghai Wine Festival in Hongkou, contributing positively to cultural exchanges and business interactions between China and Romania.
The event, organized by the Romanian Consulate General, the Romanian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and the Hongkou District government, celebrated the 74th anniversary of China-Romania diplomatic relations. It invited consuls from over 40 countries and representatives from Shanghai departments and universities, as well as Romanian students, to promote economic and cultural exchanges and enhance traditional friendship between the two countries.
