Not long ago, "Phantom Returns: Love Never Dies", the highly anticipated British original musical, premiered grandly at the North Bund AIA Theatre. The cast members of the production team were attracted by the riverside scenery of the North Bund. During their leisure time, they had a city walk on the North Bund to experience the unique cultural charm and street scenery of Hongkou.
The Music Gate, located at the end of Xinjian Road, is designed by British architect Will Alsop. It is one of the iconic buildings on the North Bund. There are three floating spherical decorative spaces on the building, and their unique design makes them a popular landscape. It also attracted the professional singers, who all took photos.
JIC Bookstore (Pujiang Branch), located at the bank of the Huangpu River on the north Bund of Hongkou. It has been awarded the title of the Most Beautiful Bookstore twice in a row. The unique design concept, book display, river view, and cultural and creative products of the bookstore amazed everyone.
Led by the guide from the Shanghai Postal Museum, the actors and actresses learned about the development of the postal industry in China and finally wrote their gratitude and blessings to Shanghai and its audience on postcards. The postcards would be presented as prizes to the audience who would come to watch the performance.
Phantom Returns: Love Never Dies, created by Weber, the father of musicals, will be performed at the North Bund Grand Theatre until October 29.
