On June 27, the theme day event of the 7th anniversary of "Doing Business in Shanghai" was held at the Memorial Hall of the Fourth National Congress of the Communist Party of China. Attending the event were Zhao Zhuping, Deputy Secretary General of the Municipal Government, Yang Jiaying, Director and Party Group Secretary of the Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, Lyu Ming, Deputy Party Chief and District Governor, Zhang Lan, Deputy Director of the Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, and Zhang Wei, Deputy District Governor.
At the event launched the Career Support special employment service for college graduates with three plans of start-up support, job support, and career support to help college graduates take better steps and achieve good careers.
The career support gift package of employment services for college graduates was released on-site, including "A Letter to Graduates in 2023", "Shanghai Graduate Employment Handbook", and "Shanghai Job Seeking Ability Training Camp Opening Plan" sent by the municipal human resources and social security department to help this year’s graduates find jobs smoothly.
Red venues such as the Memorial Hall of the First National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the Memorial Hall of the Site of the Second National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the Memorial Hall of the Fourth National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the Cultural Management Committee of Sun Yat-sen and Soong Ching-ling, the Longhua Martyrs Cemetery, the Oriental Land, the Memorial Hall of the National Anthem, Shanghai Songhu Anti Japanese War Memorial Hall, Putuo District Cultural Tourism Development Management Center, and Fengxian District Museum were awarded as the first batch of red resource internship bases.
The municipal human resources and social security department collaborated with human resources service agencies such as CIIC, FSG, 58.com, Liepin, Zhaopin Limited, BOSS, and 51job to jointly establish the Shanghai Public Employment Service Alliance, which presented certificates to the representatives of the alliance on site.
The Special Recruitment Fair of Shanghai Employment Internship Bases was held at the same time, with participation from 25 high-quality internship bases, including the first batch of red resource internship bases, with 516 internship opportunities. In the consultation area, the chief career counselors provided one-on-one career guidance and consultation services for job seekers, including resume production, interview counseling, and career planning.
To offer services on employment, entrepreneurship, talent, and issue handling to the graduates, the Suishenban app and some popular application services related to graduates in the Hongkou flagship store were promoted to the job seekers, aiming to help them understand relevant policies and timely receive recruitment information.
It is learned that the “Doing Business in Shanghai” employment service was established in 2016. Over the past seven years, it has been committed to solving problems, assisting enterprises in employment, consolidating digital service platforms, focusing on key groups' employment, and implementing precise employment assistance. It is the main service platform for the municipal human resources and social security department to practice its policy that employment is the most basic livelihood, and vigorously support the employment priority strategy.
