Pet Dogs Get Together in Peace Park

At present, there are three periods of time for reservation, namely 08:00 to 11:00, 13:00 to 16:00 and 17:00 to 20:00 (The last period is not open for the time being). The number of dogs in each period is 15 in the large dog area and 30 in small and medium-sized dog area at most.

Recently, pet dogs have found a good place to play again. Two pet dog paradises were added during the renovation of Peace Park. The reservation has been open to the public. Many people who have long expected to bring dogs to play here have already formed groups to pay a visit.

Here, all kinds of pet dogs, such as shiba inus, corgis and teddy dogs get together. The dog owners can exchange their experience in dog breeding and interesting things. They can also take photos in Peace Park. The dogs are running happily in the sun. If they are tired of playing, there is also a water dispenser specially prepared for dogs. If their feet are dirty, they can wash feet in the dog's feet washing pool which changes water regularly every day.

Dog owners have said that it is really comfortable to have such a sunny and pleasant area for dogs alone. Many of them come together after making appointments in the chat group.

There are two pet dog paradises in Peace Park. The one for large pet dogs, located at Changxinyuan Road and Tianbao Road (near exit 6), covering an area of 780 square meters, is designed for large dogs with the shoulder height not less than 60 cm. The one for medium-sized and small dogs, located at exit 2 on Xingang Road, covering an area of 1,400 square meters, is designed for small and medium-sized dogs with the shoulder height less than 60 cm. The two pet dog paradises have created a sound social environment for dogs, including a drinking pool and entertainment facilities for dogs. Besides, the part sets up barriers to separate them from the surrounding environment.

Hu Yucheng, Head of Peace Park, said that regarding the pet excrement cleaning that tourists were more concerned about, we required the dog owners to clean up the pet excrement consciously. If it was found that the pet excrement was cleaned up in time for three times, we would blacklist the dog owner, thus he or she could not make a reservation using the Peace Park applet within a month. As for the safety of tourists, our staff wearing anti-bite equipment, equipped with emergency tools, would control the pet dogs timely if they were out of control.

To ensure the safety and order of the pet dog paradises, the management party has developed an online reservation procedure, which is currently being tested. Citizens can make a reservation in advance on the "Shanghai Peace Park" applet. The staff will measure whether the dog's shoulder height meets the requirements on the same day, and confirm the information by checking the reservation code and scanning the dog's chip.

The park said that the pet dog paradises were specially built for dogs, so other animals would be not allowed to enter. The dogs entering the park were limited to dogs with certificates in Shanghai. They must abide by the park rules and the “Regulations of Shanghai Municipality on Administration of Dog Breeding”, and follow the guidance of the staff. In order to ensure safety, dog owners should tie the towing rope for their dogs when entering the park, and dogs should be led by a person with full civil capacity. The length of the towing rope should not exceed two meters. Large dogs must wear mouth covers.
