Theme Activities of Int’l Volunteer Day Held in Hongkou

The volunteers organize an activity in the community for the Constitution Publicity Week.

December 5 is the International Volunteer Day. In the afternoon, the theme activity of the International Volunteer Day of "Volunteering to Help Create a Bright Future" jointly held by the New Era Civilization Practice Center of Hongkou District and the Employment Promotion Center of Hongkou District and the series of lectures on entrepreneurship guidance of "Creating a Sailing, Dream of Home" (Phase III) were held in the New Era Civilization Practice Center of Hongkou District.

Ma Xiaoyun, General Manager of Shanghai Banyi Culture Media Co., Ltd., an expert of Hongkou Branch of Shanghai Volunteer Group of Entrepreneurship Guidance Experts, shared the experience of entrepreneurial enterprise management with netizens by means of online live broadcast. Ma Xiaoyun also explained the current entrepreneurship policy, talent policy, business environment and other conditions for young people with entrepreneurship plans in detail, and encouraged young entrepreneurs to be brave in practice and innovation.

Subsequently, the staff from the Employment Promotion Center of Hongkou District delivered a keynote speech of "learning deeply, understanding thoroughly, grasping implementation, and promoting development through innovation". Taking the implementation of the spirit of the 20th CPC National Congress as the starting point, the speech introduced the entrepreneurship service work of Hongkou People's Society in depth and detail, interpreted the entrepreneurship support policy, helped entrepreneurs and would-be entrepreneurs understand the policy content, and helped enterprises get better development in Hongkou. Also invited to participate in this event were the heads of some member units of the chambers of commerce in Hongkou, involving many industries related to internet, finance and consulting.

The organizer of the event said that in the future, Hongkou Branch of Shanghai Entrepreneurship Guidance Experts Volunteer Group will continue to give play to the expertise of experts in various fields, launch various forms of vocational skills training courses, and promote the solution of structural employment problems. At the same time, it will use various new media platforms to carry out policy publicity, interactive exchanges, and resource sharing, promote the construction of a dialogue platform between experts and entrepreneurs, and potential entrepreneurs, help entrepreneurs broaden their horizons, break their own limitations, and strengthen their understanding of innovation and entrepreneurship.

On the same day, the sub-districts of Hongkou District also organized various forms of volunteer service activities. Volunteers from the North Bund Sub-district carried out public-welfare consulting activities on streets. Volunteers in Jiangwan Town walked into the community to wipe public sports equipment for residents. Volunteers from Guangzhong Road Sub-district went door to door to comfort the elderly living alone and send warmth in winter.
