Enjoying Vaccination Service at Home

To speed up the covid-19 vaccination of people aged 60 and over, the Community Health Service Center of Jiaxing Road Sub-district recently organized medical staff to move the vaccination stations into Tianbao Nursing Home, so that the elderly can enjoy high-quality and efficient vaccination services.

It is reported that most of the elderly who are willing to vaccinate suffer from basic diseases such as hypertension, diabetes and coronary heart disease. Therefore, the staff carried out information registration and health evaluation on these elderly in the early stage. In order to vaccinate the elderly as soon as possible, the staff of the Home and Jiaxing Road Sub-district acted separately and sent the informed consent to the door for the family members to sign. The family members also actively supported the vaccination.

The Home takes the hall on the first floor as a temporary vaccination station, rigorously implements safety measures on site, and it has oxygen bags and other first-aid equipment. In the vaccination area, the medical staff patiently asked about their health status, measured their blood pressure, and vaccinated them upon the requirements met.In the observation area, the nursing staff told the elderly one by one about the precautions after vaccination and popular science-related knowledge.

It is learnt that at present, many nursing homes in Hongkou have completed vaccination for the elderly in the hospitals. Next, the publicity of covid-19 vaccination will be further extended to all the elderly-care institutions. Doctors will conduct physical evaluation for the elderly who have difficulty in moving, and provide door-to-door vaccination services to continuously improve the covid-19 vaccination rate of the elderly group and provide better protection for the elderly group.
