On September 19, the launch ceremony of "Shanghai Autumn Shopping and Tourism Festival" was held at the Sun Palace, Xintiandi Ruihong, Hongkou District. Attending the launch ceremony were Gu Honghui, Deputy Secretary General of the Municipal Government, Gu Hui, Director of the Municipal Commission of Commerce, Hu Guangjie, Deputy Chief of the District Party Committee and Governor of the District Government, Liu Min, Deputy Director of the Municipal Commission of Commerce, Shen Chao of Level-two Inspector of the Municipal Culture and Tourism Bureau and Zheng Hong, Vice Governor of the District Government.
The festival lasted from September 19 to October 8, sponsored more than 200 featured activities in response to the gold season of shopping, and covered the 16 districts in the whole city.
During the festival, Hongkou also worked with all the major business circles, and continuously conducted consumption-promoting activities, so as to constantly bring the experience of shopping carnival for the citizens. Among them, North Bund Raffles would hold City Market × Mahua Fun Age Theater to forge immersive stage dramas. Magnolia Plaza would sponsor National Treasures + Fashion IP Exhibition to enrich the city's memories. Hongkou CapitaLand Business Center would host National Fashion Market of Yuequ "Fashion" to lead the shopping direction of the national fashion. Bailian Quyang Shopping Center would build the Trunk Market of Cultural Creation of National Fashion to review the classic works of national fashion culture. Shangbin Life Plaza would promote an animation carnival to build attractions of cartoon.
At the launching ceremony, 18 enterprises including Florentia Town, Xintiandi Ruihong Sun Palace, Xintiandi, Bailian Group, Hema, and Zhonggeng Cartoon and Game Town published key activity information for the theme of the festival.
