Government Builds Platform for Traditional Enterprises

"What is informatization? At the "Starting from the North Bund: Salon on Huawei Assisting Firms in Digital Transmission" recently held by the Investment Promotion Office of Hongkou District, some key firms including Kosé, Sinar Mas Group and Shanghai Jahwa United Co., Ltd. in Hongkou communicated with Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. and spoke out about their confusions and expectations.

As early as the 1990s, Huawei began to explore informatization, went to the Silicon Valley for survey and sought for IMB's help. After years of constructing informatization, Huawei officially launched the digital transmission strategy within itself in 2016, which deeply revolutionized in three aspects of working process, organization and IT. Up to now, the digital transmission has exerted effects of perking up efficiency in the company and optimizing customers' experience. At the salon, an official of Huawei shared the digital transmission.

Huawei's sharing speech triggered enterprise representatives' expression of necessity and urgency for digital transmission. The statement of an official from RedBull Vitamin was typical. Presently, traditional industries face great difficulties in transformation, it is hard to promote intellectualization. Under the dual pressure of the external furious market competition and the internal need for lowering cost and increasing efficiency, enterprises require to learn advanced knowledge in sectors including business process and application platform. Shanghai Gonghui Trading Company, running Lawson Convenience Store, said that information technology means, such as self-service cashier and unmanned convenience store, were adopted to cope with predicament during the pandemic. However, with the rapid expansion of stores and increasing workload, it is urgent to connect data and realize data interface to solve an assortment of problems in its development. Sinar Mas Group, a lead enterprise in the paper industry, expects to enhance efficiency of carbon neutrality by accelerating digital transmission in aim of realizing targets of decreasing carbon dioxide, zero carbon dioxide as well as absorption and conversion of carbon dioxide to lead the industry.

It is reported that in recent years Hongkou has closely cooperated with Huawei and constantly propels the digital transmission. Huawei established "Huawei 5G + XRCloud Innovation Centre, Shanghai" in Hongkou in 2019, and since last April, the Hongkou District Government, together with Huawei, has distributed Huawei Hongkou Cloud 5G Innovation Coupon worthy of over RMB20 million. With the help of Huawei, over 90 firms have been equipped with cloud technology, and 52 companies have completed digitization and informatization. Huawei assisted Kujing Media (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., in dedicating to becoming a leader in new media of interactive video, in participating in Huawei Cloud 5G + XR Industry Plan in Hongkou. Huawei Cloud formulated the solution to 5G + XR Automobile Whole-Life Cycle Series Products of Sixeco Technology Co., Ltd. in aid of the car enterprise's transformation. Fang Hongda, Deputy General Manager of the Huawei Cloud Business Department in Shanghai, said that in the second half of the year, they would go on helping 50 firms in Hongkou from the technical level, the ecological chain level and the entrepreneur level. Huawei would further enhance the technical capability of enterprises by holding weekly, quarterly and annual activities including the "Technology Salon", the "Developers’ Forum" and the "City Summit". Meanwhile, they would deeply interact with cooperative partners and facilitate the ecological partner to build a fine ecological environment in Hongkou. Huawei worked with the Hongkou District Science and Technology Commission and the Investment Promotion Office of Hongkou District and invited entrepreneurs and senior management members in charge of finance, research and development and human resources management to share experience and cases and constantly improve entrepreneurs' international vision.

This activity is one of the series of brand activities with the theme of "Starting from the North Bund" in Hongkou. In the daily visit, the Investment Promotion Office of Hongkou District learned about the enterprises' confusions in the digital transformation and decided to jointly hold this event with Huawei, which has received good responses. An official of the Investment Promotion Office of Hongkou District said that "Starting from the North Bund" would regularly organize enterprises in various industries to have cooperation and exchange activities in diverse forms, and it would take the initiative to provide service on the centralized demands of enterprises in various industries to realize the connection between supply and demand, match resource, seek new models and focus on new development. This year, "Starting from the North Bund" has held more than 10 activities. The Investment Promotion Office of Hongkou District will continue to provide close and forward services, further expand the service coverage through online live broadcasting, bring more government services required by enterprises into buildings and industry parks, better assist enterprise in development through the government "group army" services, and provide a strong guarantee for Hongkou to promote the continuous optimization of business environment.
