Review Glorious Journey by Red Bus

on June 29, an Activity themed “Hongkou Red Line for Visiting Century Tide of Revolutionary History”, was launched in Caihongwan, Jiangwan Town Sub-district to better serve the grassroots Party members and the masses and carry out Party history learning and education. Yan Aiyun, director of the Party History Research Office of the CPC Shanghai Committee and deputy director of the leading group office for the Party history’s learning and education of the CPC Shanghai Committee, and Wu Qiang, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Hongkou District Committee, director of the publicity department and director of the leading group office for the Party history’s learning and education of Hongkou District, attended the launching ceremony and unveiled the first red bus line.

The red bus line is made up of special line and circle line. According to the needs of the grassroots Party organizations and the community people in Hongkou, the special line will start from the designated points in Hongkou and go to the 55th floor of Raffles City at the North Bund to visit the "Century Tide - Hongkou District's Theme Exhibition Celebrating the 100th Anniversary of the Founding of Communist Party of China", so that the Party members and the masses can learn from Hongkou's centenary Party history. After that, the special line will get by many red landmarks in Hongkou, to let the public accept the baptism of the red culture by means of mobile Party history education. Besides, there is a red circle bus line in Hongkou, which is specially used to transport grassroots Party members to experience the scene of Party history’s learning and education. The circle line passes through the Shanghai Jewish Refugees Memorial, the Fourth National Congress of the Communist Party of China Memorial Hall, the Memorial Hall of Chinese Left Wing Writers Union and the Former Residence of Martyr Li Bai, and finally arrives at Luxun Park (Hongkou Football Stadium). In addition to the distinctive red culture publicity materials in the bus compartment, hand painting and QR code of "Hongkou’s Red Memory" are also posted on the back of the seats. Passengers can scan the code on the way to listen to the introduction of Hongkou’s red culture. Three bus stops have been set up in the "North Bund Raffles City", "the Fourth National Congress of the Communist Party of China Memorial Hall" and "Luxun Park (Hongkou Football Stadium)". Passengers can choose to get off at these stops to visit the aforesaid venues, or take the red bus all the way to listen to the "revolutionary history" stories broadcast in the bus and appreciate the deep red history and culture of Hongkou.

The red bus line will also invite the red anchor in the theme activity of "Everyone is a Preacher" of Hongkou District to board the bus from time to time, so as to bring a more vivid tour experience for passengers through introduction and interaction. On the first red special line departing from Jiangwan Town, Li Yin, leader of "Ling Yan" youth lecturer group of China Eastern Airlines and winner of Shanghai "Youth May 4th Medal", carried out the first Party history education presentation for the Party members. Ni Qing, a Party member representative of the large-scale relocation housing base in Caihongwan, Jiangwan Town Sub-district, said that the red bus line, which was launched in Caihongwan, could "do practical things for the masses" and provide convenience for all our residents, and they would take many Party members with 50-year-old Party standing in the community to review the glorious course of the Party and realize the original mission.

2021 is the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China. Hongkou, as an important area of Shanghai's "Pioneering Work - Excavation and Publicity Project of the Birthplace of the Communist Party of China", is rich in red cultural resources. It is one of the most densely populated areas of red cultural sites in Shanghai. Among the first batch of red resources in Shanghai, there are 84 in Hongkou. A few days ago, Hongkou held an exhibition on the theme of "Century Tide - Hongkou District's Theme Exhibition Celebrating 100th Anniversary of Founding of Communist Party of China" on the 55th floor of Raffles City on the North Bund, creating the highest learning and education space for the Party history in Shanghai. Meanwhile, Hongkou launched " Hongkou Red Line for Visiting Century Tide of Revolutionary History", creating a mobile immersive experience of the Party history education scene, which will lead cadres and masses to have a deeper understanding of Hongkou's red cultural and historical resources and feel the baptism of the Party history.
