Ke Jia, a policeman of Liangcheng Xincun Police Station of Hongkou Public Security Bureau, received three sweet gifts on January 10, the first Chinese people's police day.
Although the first police day was on the weekend, Ke Jia, came to the police station by his electric bicycle that morning. "Ke Jia, what are you doing here?" Seeing his appearance, the colleagues on duty asked one after another. While changing into his police uniform, Ke Jia replied: "A resident was almost cheated by telecommunication last time. Later, I persuaded not to send remittance. Today, I make an appointment to pay a return visit. The resident is free at home today". "Ok, Come on, have a bite of cake on the police holiday.", before Ke Jia put on his police uniform, his colleagues handed him a piece of cake.
The first Chinese people's Police Day was like a birthday for everyone in police uniform. In order to celebrate this special "first time", the Liangcheng Xincun police station not only prepared a cake for the policemen on duty on that day to celebrate the special festival, but also organized the policemen to take a group photo in advance. Ke Jia, who worked overtime on this day, was proud to be a member of the group while tasting the cake.
After eating the cake, Ke Jia rode on his electric bicycle again and went to the home of Mr. Tang, a resident within the jurisdiction. A few days ago, Ke Jia received a claim from Mr. Tang's son, saying that his father, Mr. Tang, was suspected of being involved in telecom fraud. Upon receiving the claim, Ke Jia immediately drove to Mr. Tang's home. It was understood that Tang saw an antique appraisal company on the Internet, while he had an ancient coin. After several contacts, the other party said that Tang's ancient coins were "priceless". As long as he sent the coin to the company and paid an appraisal fee, Tang's ancient coins could be auctioned at a high price. Tang thought it was a business opportunity, but Ke Jia felt it was like a fraud. In order to prevent Tang from suffering a loss, Ke Jia patiently persuaded Tang with various cheat cases on the internet, and finally Tang did not pay the so-call appraisal fee.
Afterwards, Ke Jia was still worried. On January 10, he made a home visit with Tang. When Tang opened the door and saw Ke Jia, Tang was overjoyed. He asked him have a cup of tea and eat some fruits. For the hospitality, Ke Jia almost could not get to the point. "Mr. Tang, I came here today just to see if your ancient coin is still there. I am really worried tha, you will be cheated again." Knowing the police officer’s worry, Tang took out the ancient coin from the cupboard and said: "It's still there. After you reminded me, I know it's a fraud. I won't sell it. I'll leave it to my son as a family heirloom." Hearing this, Ke Jia finally rested assured. However, in view of the ages of Mr. and Mrs. Tang, they were vulnerable to telecom fraud. Ke Jia started his own anti-telecom fraud publicity and showed video clips shot by him to Tang. Tang put on his presbyopic glasses, looked carefully and listened attentively. In a twinkling of an eye, it was lunch time. Ke Jia was about to go back to the police station, but Tang asked him to have a lunch. "I won't have a lunch, as I have something else to do. Thank you very much", said Ke. Tang hurried into the kitchen, took out a chestnut cake from the refrigerator, put it into Ke Jia's hand and said, "Officer Ke, you take this cake. I learn that today coincides with the police day. It's time to celebrate your holiday. "
Ke Jia rode back to the police station. "I have something else to do in the afternoon" was not a polite decline. In order to do a good job in the prevention and publicity of telecom fraud, Ke Jia began to produce short videos, hoping to let more residents improve their awareness against telecom fraud. The afternoon of January 10 was his “creation time".
While conceiving a video script and tasting the chestnut cake, Ke Jia had a whim, and the theme of the next video work came out: the fraud of antiques appraisal. At this moment, the mobile phone rang, Ke Jia pressed the answer button, and a familiar voice came from the other end of the phone: "Dad, when are you coming back? Mom bought a big cake for your birthday, waiting for you to blow out the candles."
January 10 is the first Chinese people's police day. January 10 is also Ke Jia's 36th birthday. Since joining in the police team 12 years ago, Ke Jia has used to spending his birthday on his post. Now, this important day in his life has been endowed with a more sacred sense of professional honor.
