Shanghai Summer Scale Model Open Competition Kicks off

The annual Summer Scale Model Open Competition has officially kicked off in Hongkou. The exquisite and meticulous simulation models attracted the participants from all over the country, thus unveiling the 3rd Shanghai Civic Sports Games, namely, Shanghai Sci-tech Sports Carnival.
The Open Competition is divided into three groups, namely, open group, RC group and network group. Hitting the record, there are more than 300 entries. Due to the outbreak, the Open Competition breaks the traditional mode for the first time to attempt the live broadcast; the entries this year involve more domestic military models than that in previous years; and there are new participants.
As a model pageant for model enthusiasts, the Open Competition offers them the opportunity to get together, and attract arrays of model enthusiasts from other places right after getting the news.
Compared with other international model events in the same type, the organizer opens up a display area for hand-made prototypes, wooden boat enthusiasts and so on.
As required by COVID-19 control, the Open Competition applies online mode and offline mode, uses the webcast display for the first time, and invites more than 20 experts as jury to comment on the entries and answer questions for model enthusiasts. Besides, the enthusiasts can sign up online to share models and stories.
With the charms of sci-tech sports, the Open Competition is the first show of sci-tech sports carnival. As the characteristic project of Shanghai Civic Sports Games, this sci-tech sports carnival will offer various activities with rich types, show the charms of sci-tech sports in many dimensions, and meet the sports needs of the citizens.
