Luxun Park Opened in a Strict and Orderly Manner
By Zhang Yanli
As the holiday of the International Labor Day is coming, Luxun Park, which has been reopened for more than a month, has made sufficient preparations to deal with the possible passenger influx. The reopened Luxun Park ushered in the largest passenger flow in Tomb Sweeping Day, with a total number of more than 40,000 visitors in the three-day holiday. With proper measures, it was orderly even in the face of passenger influx and produced no large-scale gathering of people.
Due to the efforts made by the management force, the tourists can enjoy flowers and take a rest in Luxun Park to enjoy the natural spring scenery.
Luxun Park develops a plan and has rehearsals in advance.
To reopen the Park, the management force named Shanghai Luxun Park Management Co., Ltd. has formulated a reopening plan according to the current situation of COVID-19 control, and the main leaders of its superior unit named Shanghai Changyuan Culture (Group) Co., Ltd. have mastered the reopening plan and instructed to supplement the relevant measures.
Luxun Park has multiple gates, but only the north gate and the south one are planned to be opened. Close to the road, the two gates left no room for tourists to wait in line, and the tourists must take temperature and show health code before getting into the Park. Once there is a queue, it may cause congestion in front of the road. In response, the plan requires to set up the queuing space at the gate and to form a snake-shaped passage with fences.
Before the reopening, the management force, the Group and the District Greening and Urban Appearance Bureau had rehearsals for reopening. Played by security personnel and workers, more than a dozen of tourists went through the snake-shaped passage into the park, and there were staff reminding them to pay attention to the distance and produce the health code ahead of time, while there were staff taking temperature for them one by one at the end of the passage.
According to Shi Xiaofeng, Executive Deputy Director of Luxun Park, we all know through the rehearsals that every tourist needs a certain time to take temperature and needs a certain distance while queuing up. In addition, temporary isolation sites set up next to the temperature measuring sites are used for tourists whose temperature temporarily rises because of exercise, and the tourists will be enabled to get into the Park after recovering normal temperature; for those with abnormal temperature, the staff will advise them not to get into the Park.
As for the square dance, chorus and other gathering activities, the Park has called the team leaders in advance to inform them to suspend the activities during the period of COVID-19 control, in order to reduce the gathering in the Park.
After 54 days of closure, Luxun Park was reopened for tourists on March 16. With an overall smooth operation on the first day, 14,785 visitors in total went to the Park as of 16:00 on that day. Five days later, the recreational facilities were available on March 21. In addition to some commercial facilities, the Park has been reopened on the whole so far.
Luxun Park increases to carry out disinfection.
After nearly two months of closure, Luxun Park presents the tulip parterre that is popular among tourists, while other scenic spots inside show no difference. Although COVID-19 control requires a closure, the Park makes continuous efforts on greening, and renewal and maintenance of all kinds of facilities.
According to Shi Xiaofeng, this winter remains a higher temperature overall. With the arrival of spring, the temperature rises, so weeds grow apace. Thus, the Park arranges the maintenance personnel to take temperature, wear protective masks, extirpate the weeds for all tree stands and lawns regularly, and protect plants in the spring as expected during the closure period. In addition, the soil in Plum Garden, Slab Bridge and other areas are turned over to complete to mulch the soil in individual areas.
After the reopening, Luxun Park increases to carry out disinfection, in order to ensure the health and safety of tourists. Chairs, handrails, signs and other frequently-used facilities, and other areas that are likely to produce virus retention and transmission, are sterilized no less than twice a day; toilets are sterilized 3 times a day; with ventilation in time, the Park disinfects dustbins in time. Besides, it is increased to make disinfection once an hour for recreational facilities that most of the children are interested in.
By now, Luxun Park implements the time limit and flow restriction, and can instantaneously accommodate 8,000 persons at most per day. Moreover, the opening time is scheduled to 08:00-17:00 upon adjustment. More security are deployed to strengthen the inspection and to prevent the gathering activities; the Park works with the police station to make co-control and to further ensure the safety of tourists; nearly 50 volunteers are mobilized to perform duty on main roads and densely-populated places to take temperature for tourists, induce them to wear masks, obstruct the gathering of personnel, etc.
