Some white-collars of Shanghai Garden Lane Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection Industrial Park (the “Park” for short) have enjoyed a special “birthday” in the Party Building Center of the Park. Guangzhou Road Sub-District has initiated the introduction of Handwork Station and Shi Luwei, an inheritor of national intangible cultural heritage, has been invited to deliver the first class of the Station and teach the white-collars to make the Dong embroidery.
At site, the white-collars were concentrating their attention on every stitch and have learnt to use plain stitch, lock stitch, outline stitch, back stitch and other skills. Many of them said that celebrating birthday together while learning about intangible cultural heritage and making DIY is meaningful. And the Center has prepared birthday cakes for them.
Guangzhong Road Sub-district said that the Center has strived to build a new area where Party members can play a role, a new platform for the exchange of white-collars in the Park and a new engine to promote innovation in social governance” since its opening in March. The introduction of the Handwork Station is to better serve the Park and the community and enhance the cohesion of the Party Organization through the aesthetics of life, the inheritance of intangible cultural heritages and the handwork culture.
